DiveIn: A Podcast about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Special Education Research

In this podcast, sponsored by the Division of Research of the Council for Exceptional Children, we will discuss issues of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Special Education Research. We will delve into issues such as the disproportional representation of minority students in special education, how to expand a diverse special education teaching force, how to center equity in research design, and many other topics that focus on expanding and improving special education research, so it acts as a catalyst for racial, gender, class, and of course, disability justice in education.

In our first inaugural episode of DiveIn, we discuss the latest report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine providing guidance on the future of educational research at the Institute of Educational Sciences. We invited Dr. Alfredo Artiles, who was involved in the report, to discuss implications for equity and inclusion in special education research.
